2 x 2 Ribbing

Worked over a multiple of 4 stitches:

Row 1 (RS): *Knit 2, purl 2; repeat from * to end.
Row 2 (WS): *Knit 2, purl 2; repeat from * to end.

Worked over a multiple of 4 stitches plus 2.

Row 1 (RS): *Knit 2, purl 2; repeat from * to last 2 sts, knit 2.
Row 2 (WS): *Purl 2, knit 2; repeat from * to last 2 sts, purl 2.

Note: When working seamed pieces, working on a multiple of 4 stitches plus 2 makes for easier seaming and a neater finished join.
