Folded Hems:

Please note that you should work all internal portions of the folded hems on needles one size down from your main needle size - this helps the hem lay flat after seaming.

I find it easiest to work folded hems flat, block them folded shut, and then seamed. Use a simple and flexible whip stitch for the seaming.
