Daisy Stitch (multiple of 4 stitches plus 1):
Please note that Daisy Stitch must be worked on needles one size larger than your main needle size.
Rows 1 and 3 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 (WS): Knit 1, *p3tog leaving stitches on the needle, yo, purl the same 3 sts together again and slip them off the needle, k 1; rep from * to end.
Row 4 (WS): Knit 1, purl 1, k 1, *p3tog leaving stitches on the needle, yo, p the same 3 sts together again and slip them off the needle, k 1; rep from * to last 2 sts, end p 1, k 1.
Repeat rows 1 - 4.
Notes: To work Daisy Stitch in the round, CO a multiple of 4 stitches, eliminating the final k 1 on Rows 2 and 4.
Daisy Stitch works best as a cardigan trim when the cardigan has no buttons. If using Daisy Stitch on a cardigan with buttons, either place the eyelet buttonholes within a final Garter Stitch edge, or work traditional cast-on, bind-off buttonholes.
